Crazy Editing Technique That Works!

I came across this crazy idea about editing by reading your book's chapters in reverse. It comes from a fellow Black Opal Author's blog. Check it out... I think she really might have something here. Thank you to Jennifer Moss. Click on the link below.

The Editing Will Soon Begin

Good News! I am anxiously awaiting the email from my editor telling me that the editing will finally begin. I am next in the cue, which means the next editor that frees up at Black Opal Books is going to be mine. My long awaited "Souls Entwined" young adult paranormal romance novel will be edited and published very soon!

Savvy Authors

Savvy Authors is a wonderful site to join. They have so many pitch contests that can help get you ready to pitch to agents and publishers. I've joined Savvy Authors and the writing community is phenomenal. The members bend over backwards to help with critiques on your pitch (or whatever they are working on at the moment). Because of them, my query has come a long way from my first draft. And I owe it all to Savvy Authors. I would encourage you to join is you are an aspiring writer. Here's their link to check out - Savvy Authors' link - click here
See you there someday!

Joining Writer's Groups Online

The best thing I have done was to join some writer's groups online. The writing community has been extremely helpful in giving me their advice, critiqing my query, and helping me to revise my first chapters. And so much more! One site I would like to recommend to writers that are trying to perfect their queries and opening chapters is Brenda Drake's blog. Ms. Drake is an author of young adult and middle grade novels. Her blog sponsors many pitch contests that can get your manuscript into the hands of agents. Right now my newest manuscript is being considered by Entangled Publishing, who had requested three chapters, then additionally requested the whole manuscript. Cross your fingers for me!
